Tech Fab Building

Tech Fab Through the Years

1997

Clayton Greenwood founded Tech Fab in Houston, Texas. Partnering with a local Houstonian they began working on the fabrication building design and layout, and business structure.

Clayton Greenwood founded Tech Fab in 1997 to serve the demand in the market for turnkey fabricating solutions, forever changing Houston metal fabrication.

Our customers like the idea that releasing one purchase order will take care of the entire project. "Keep it simple" as Clayton would say - one point of contact, and everything under one roof. We're here to make your 9 - 5 just a little more easy to deal with. Today, Tech Fab operates with the same principles, providing Houston's best metal fabrication. We enjoy and welcome the opportunity to manufacture your next project.

Tech Fab Today

In 2012, Justin Greenwood took over for his father, Clayton, to steward Tech Fab’s uncompromising commitment to integrity, safety, quality, and excellence.

By leveraging his 16 years in industry knowledge and technical expertise, Justin has fostered and maintained strong working relationships with customers that has resulted in a high rate of repeat business. During this time, Tech Fab has expanded its footprint in the midstream and industrial services industry by providing exemplary turnkey EPFC project solutions.

In the last 9 years, Tech Fab has grown in many ways. We have more than quadrupled our highly skilled workforce from 30 to 160 people. We have expanded our Fabrication and Assembly facility from 26,000 to 80,000 square feet—more than tripling our facility footprint and improving our ability to execute even the largest engineering, fabrication, and construction projects. Finally, we created strategic partnerships with OTSO Energy Solutions, Plex Supply and G&C Coatings and Industrial Services to provide a competitive advantage in a variety of key areas, including designing and fabricating oil and gas process systems, global procurement and supply chain management, and industrial coating and blasting services.

As Tech Fab continues to grow and expand, our original family values and business philosophy remains the same. We are committed to treating our employees, contractors, partners, and customers with honesty and integrity. Our goal is to be the very best we can be while doing things the “right way” every time.
