We offer TIG and gas tungsten welding, a flexible, high quality welding process that is used for thin-walled pipes and tubing and marine, process and chemical processing equipment. TIG uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode, constant current and a separate flux material. It can be automated or manual; however, it is a slower, more complex welding process than other methods. Due to the separate flux material used, TIG welding provides a better match between the base material and the weld, resulting in stronger, higher quality welds than GMAW and SMAW. TIG welds also exhibit higher resistance to corrosion and cracking. TIG welding is used for stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium copper and exotic alloys such as Inconel.
Tech Fab’s welders and Inconel fabricators are trained in this complex technology, and are skilled in using it to produce high quality welds for chemical, process and marine applications. Our welders are AWS certified and all of our welding services meet the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section VIII Division 1 and ABS standards. Our welders are constantly trained in the latest production methods and safety requirements.
Tech Fab has the TIG welding experience and expertise to fabricate products for your marine, chemical and process equipment application to the highest quality standards. Call today to request a quote for your application.
